That's amazing about CA gas.  That just isn't true
about the gas in Missouri.  All of our pumps state
that there is alchol in the gas, can't remember if it
is methanol or ethanol.  I haven't seem varnish or gum
since fuel injection took over.  

Up until last fall I always bought premium.  My old
Aerostar had a tendency to knock so I fed it premium. 
Ran fine when I got rid of it at 220,000 miles.  Body
was junked though.
