Jim,
Do you have any idea what the military called these trucks? H-542 is
the IH designation, right? Do you have Crismon's military book or is it
in the IH book?
I agree on the headache rack being oilfield issue.

Dude, shut your mouth! That ain't a rig to part out, it needs to be
saved.
Prolly more up the alley of the MVPA crowd. Crismon sez there were a tad
over 4000 built. The vast majority were likely exported, and like the
M-2/M-3/M-5 few ever made it back. This is the first one I've seen 'in
the
flesh'.
