You said it fine Ed, I just didn't know you'd said it! I know about the
Dodge front ends cause I had a few of them 'BS' (Before Scouts). Actually
they're not a bad front if you keep the wheel bearings lubed; there is a
recessed, 90 degree grease zerk that you access through a hole in the face
of the brake rotor to grease them. Guess how many people actually bothered
to pull their front wheels every oil change and give em a shot of grease?
Worst part is they're full time, Warn did make a kit to install lock out
hubs that looked a lot like the ones on Ford Rangers. I would imagine that
kit and the parts are 'unobtanium' now since most of the Dodges have gone to
make Toyotas, every one<g>.
I'm starting to think you guys don't believe I know how to ID axles. Does it not register that I picked up the 14 bolt at a different place than the Dana 60? I like how the dana 44 fronts apparently don't exist in the form I found them. Yup, they don't exist, it's all in my head.

I agree on the rear drums on the CUCV axles
too, I think Ryan might get a surprise if he's expecting 'cheap brake drums'
the first time he buys one. I briefly had a CUCV ambulance (M 1010)- I
really wouldn't mine having one of the pickup versions, the gearing makes
the 6.2 NA diesel actually seem like a real engine!
Dennis
Oh yeah, the drums I looked up at the parts counter sure were only "pretending" to be cheap. I knew the year the axle came from and the specific truck. I'm in a real surprise, yup.

BTW, AFAIK the CUCVs share drums anyway, but that's beside the point since it's NOT A CUCV AXLE.
