[ihc] New addition
Not to crow, but too cool not to share... ;)
Latest addition to the fleet came home yesterday, driven about 4 miles on
public streets:
'69 Hyster Challenger 60, 6000# all terrain forklift. Ex-USN, 6' forks, 15'
lift easy :)
Fully hydraulic steering makes things 'interesting' at road speeds. No road
feel whatsoever, and no return to center. Feels kinda like piloting a
greased ball bearing.
I have paid my last dues dragging engines, etc. around with the portable
A-frame and chain fall. This baby has flatbeds to install, cabs to pull,
pickup beds to stack, etc..
IH content - I just finished installing an NOS Navistar ignition switch so
that only *I* have a key(forklift keys are typically generic) 8P
