Micheal, I'm guessing it's the regular IH 727 w/a
different tailshaft housing & possibly tailshaft. This
is how most married tranny/tcases are. Internally,
it's a 727, the case is what's specific for IH. So to
have it done, it shouldn't cost much more than a
regular 727 rebuild. I talked to 1 shop, quoted me
less than $500 for a basic overhaul, including the
torque converter. This was parts & labor on the tranny
only, with me bringing it to them. The quote was for
the 727 in my 72 1010.

As far as doing it yourself, I don't know what the kit
will cost you. I'd guess it would cost you at least
between $150 & 200, probably more since you would want
a rebuilt torque converter.
