My First Electrical Issue & Brake Wiring

BB- Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction...  My windshield
wipers, gauges (except amps), blinkers, heater motor and a/c seem not to be
getting any power.  Everything else electrical seems to be working
normally - headlights, brakes, dash lights, cigar lighter and radio.  All I
know to do is check the fuses and wiggle/play with the bulkhead connector.
Does anyone have an idea what my problem is?  With the truck that is!  ;-)

Also, what is the best way to wire the 7-way plug receptacle I just bought
for trailer lights?  Is it OK to just splice into the wires (blinkers,
brakes, etc) and run off them?  Will the load be too much when I plug in a
trailer?  Or, is there a better way, with relays or something like that?
