Terry,
Ryan's right (ow, that hurts to say out loud).  There were plenty of them.
Put this one in the file with the ebay travelall last week, it had 
the AMC 401 engine and was listed as "1 of 1", the only one that year 
with this engine.
Like your fellow, maybe not having any negative intentions, just so 
hard to come by honest info about IHs if you're unaware of the digest 
and bulletin and oldihc.
Nice rigs, though!
