RE: Sunflower show.

I know the feeling. I was a the show year before last. I won best stock
71-75 Scout II (or something like that), I think I was the only in my class.
It is a very fun show, ran by great people. I don't know if I will make it
this year, but I do hope so.

Subject: Sunflower show.

Anyone who has been patiently waiting for plaques from the show last fall in
Jct City will be happy to know that I got my plaques in the mail this
weekend. I have not heard an update lately on Terry's health. I hope that
this is a good sign.

Anyway, I had entered my Travelette in "69-75 full-size Mild Modified" and
got second place. There was a really pretty Travelall that deserved to beat
me out. There was also an award for " Best 4X4 Pickup/Travelall", which I
received. I got the plaques in the mail and ran them into the house to show
my 5 year old son who had gone with me to the show. He wanted to hang them
on the wall by a trophy he won at the county fair last year. I was pretty
proud. My Mother-in-law was there and asked how many vehicles were in the
show. She was impressed to hear that there were 50 or so. Than she looked
closer at the "best..." plaque and wanted to know how many 4X4 pickups and
Travelalls. Um..............2. Why did she laugh, I wonder? I think
the value of my 'ette just doubled, it is a show truck now.
