BAD

Reapers,
I just wanted to bring you guys up to date on what I've encountered
with BAD since the weekend. As you may remember I lost my brakes due to
sand and mud in the drums. I couldn't get the passenger side drum
off, no matter what I tried, till my ex-mechanic gave me a trick. I took
my air hammer and put a hammer bit in (actually, I couldn't find a
hammer bit, so I ground my chisel flat and used that) and hammered the
face with that. After about 30 sec the drum popped right off! I
replaced the shoes and the drum with one of my spares, along with 4
wheel studs, but; when I tried to put the drum back on, I couldn't get
the shoes to close up all the way. I pushed and prodded and banged,
wouldn't go. I finally managed to get the drum on, but the shoes where
dragging so bad that on my test drive I couldn't get out of 2nd gear.
When I got into the driveway after going around the block the drum was
SMOKING! So, this morning I have to open it back up and see what is
obstructing the brake shoes.
