After reading the messages by both John L. and Greg I
think that makes a lot of sense...
  I rebuilt the carb a few weeks ago...the problem
seemed to be present befroe the rebuild though...the
truck was 'brand new' to me at that point however and
it's very possible that I swaped one problem for
another.
  Time to pull the carb again I guess...
