Pinion spline counts

What spline count would the pinion on a '67 Scout 800's rear Dana 44
have?  19-spline side gears, but what "coarseness" pinion?  And which
would my later model Scout II pinions have?

Looking for an opinion on strength and suitability of some 4.88s from a
'67 800's Dana 44 rear (with 30spline side gears swapped in) in the
front Chevy axle in my race Scout..
