Jim,
I was really looking forward to seeing you and Jan. Disappointed to
not make contact. Think of you often because of the Calaveras
connection in addition to the fact that I quickly liked you a lot.  As
what's  her name told Scarlet in "Gone With the Wind", "I don't know
nothin' about no birthin' ", so unlike Tom, I can't help you there. 
(I should point out that I was pretty good at making them, but didn't
participate in delivering them)

Tom H.  I don't know if you know it or not, but your Terra won 3rd
place in the Traveler division, and I have your plaque. I could mail
it to you, or if you're not too anxious, we'll see each other before
long and I can give it to you then.  Yeah, digesters, Tom's Terra won
3rd place in the Traveler division. Good thing for my Terra, because
if Tom's Terra had been judged as a Terra, I'd have gotten 4th place,
of which there wasn't any.

We missed you guys! But, you are forgiven. Congratulations to you and
Jan.

You started the "IHC Digest BBQ" last year, at Tulare. We carried on
that
tradition at NWBR last August. This year, at Tulare, we had the
biggest one
yet. Maybe 30 people in attendance. I think we should be thanking you.

Check in to the Digest once in a while, and let us know how things are
going. We've got lots of tools and know how to offer and you don't
live that
far away. So, if Jan needs help with the birth, well were here to
......
