Re: Do I NEED a fan shroud?
Heather,

one, you'll probably see a lot of cooling system problems (overheating)
w/ your scout >>
My 74 Scout II with 345 and manual trans had a shroud when I bought it 6+
years and 125,000 less miles ago. I live in the Antioch area, and when I
broke the shroud a couple of years ago doing my 3" body lift, I saw almost no
increase in engine temperature. I reads just a tad higher on real hot days
and when I'm doing fairly serious wheeling (read slooooow). It still doesn't
even get to the half way mark. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts
running hot.
