BTW, a pitted glass tip: if you polish your windshields with common
newspaper a lot of that pit-caused glare disappears - the ink from the new
papers temporarily fills the holes.  I used to do this back in Michigan
every week or so.  Out here in Colorado, I replace my windows (from massive
cracks) so often it's not necessary :-(.
