Fw: Check this out
Digesters:
Steve Larson forwarded this SEMA site to me. If any of you think that "Big
Brother" can go too far, you owe it to yourselves to check this out. The
State of California is proposing to put 'OBD's or 'on board detectors' on
cars that will notify the Air Resources Board anytime your exhaust isn't
meeting standards. They in turn, want a program that will notify you to
bring your car in for repairs within 10 days, or they'll sic the CHP on
you.
This is for real. And, as you folks in NJ, MO and NY already know, as
California goes on things environmental, the rest of the nation will soon
follow. (We no longer have "california" and "49 state" cars do we?)
Scary, really scary.

Tom,
Check this out. It's about OBD III. Very interesting to say the least.
