Now, I don't want to demoralize you folks or anything, but between Ken's
famous exhaust pipe enchalattas, manifold muffins, and catalytic cookies on
the one hand, and Juniper's Cross-over pipe catfish, and muffler mango
halibut on the other I just suggest you folks start getting ready right now!

Hey, it's darned nice out in Colorado these days. I spent about four hours
today on some snow-covered trails leading to Mt Baldy (just outside o
Colorado Springs). Almost followed the trail
across a big snowy field - only to realize at the last minute that it was
actually a snow & ice covered pond. That would have stunk.

It sure is strange living in an area with so many scouts. I saw two other
vehicles way up there - and one was another 1980 Scout very similar to mine,
owned by a young guy named Jason.

My Scout did fine in the thick and heavy snow (seldom more than 12" or so).
The only bad part is that it seems that my 32" BFG MTs can *definitely* rub
the front wheel wells now that I've taken off the anti-sway bar. Hmmm,
wait! I still haven't installed a set of front bump stops. I assume those
won't stop the tires from rubbing, anyone have any good ideas other than
reinstall the anti-sway bar?
