Fuel Float

When I had my gas tank cleaned out at a radiator shop, they show me my
float and it was full of holes,and gas. After talking (asking their
opinion on where to get a replacement, working on old brass radiators,
etc.) for a few minutes, the oldest guy in the shop took my float blew
out the gas and solder over the holes, and it worked. 

Maybe you can get your neighborhood radiator shop to a quick fix on your
float.
