(sound of hand slapping on forehead) A SPARE KEY! What an idea!

Actually, I did keep a spare key in my wallet a long time ago but with
vehicle proliferation that was no longer useful.

Even more to the point, a long time ago I met a lovely young lady trying to
work her way through college at a mall store called "Things Remembered."
Besides tacky gifts for tacky people, they made keys.  So she would insist,
in her sweet, young manner,  on making spare keys for me.  Said keys would
never work.  Being young and in love, I could not tell her, but instead
carried around these useless keys instead of my spares.

However, she now pays for this by being the one who has to come and get me
when I lose my keys, wallet, shirt, head, etc.
