Fan blades on newer cars.

        Steve,

        A contributing factor toward blade placement is that it will appear to 
be rotating when viewed under a timing light, where others will appear still, 
and we (in our infinite IH wisdom) won't reach in to adjust something.

The reason the fan looks like that is with irregularly placed blades you
don't get the steady vibration you would with equally spaced blades and it
is a bit quiter and won't cause as much harmonic vibration.
