DPO's

I posted this a while back when I was rebuidling my T90 speed trans but it
sure qualifies for the DPO award.
Ever since we bought the Scout, it always had grinding between 1st and 2nd
gear and from third back down to 2nd. The PO told us "the tranny's been
rebuilt, it just needs a clutch adjustment". After rebleeding the clutch it
still had the grinding so we decided to do a tranny rebuild.
Upon disassembly of the transmission I found that one of the 2nd gear synchros
was completely missing! I was suprised the transmission was even useable. I
replaced the synchros and the 2nd gear and all the needle bearings and seals.
Hopefully, once we get the hydraulic clutch back together, it will work much
better.
