I don't have one of the spring equipped antennas but on some aftermarket ones
you'll find a large phillips that goes stright down under the semi-adjusting ball
at the base of the spring. Remove the screw in the spring base, if possible, and
then the spring/antenna to gain access to it. Don't twist the base around too much
trying to tighten it as you're likely to damage the antenna coax below.
