Still no go :-(

hey y'all,

I'm still having trouble w/ my truck, I did everything upto the timing,
but when I hooked up the timing (according to the instructions) it won't
flash when #8 fires.  I'm getting fuel, have compression, and when I pull
the wire, it'll spark f held near the block.

so what am I forgetting?  this is getting irriatating
