RHD Scouts
As Tom H stated, there were many purchasers of RHD Scouts besides the
Postal Service. In fact, the only bulk purchase by the Post Office was
the 1966 order of 4000 or so RHD 4x2 800's that included the first
automatic transmission in the Scout, although RHD was an available option
through 1980.
Certainly one of the biggest groups of purchasers in the US were rural
delivery contractors who ordered RHD for their routes. But there were no
specific postal modifications and the US RHD's were identical to export
versions, other than possible modifications to meet the other country's
requirements.
