The front seal is part of the booster, not a gasket between the booster
and m/c then.

*chuckle* I guess that means I need to acquire an adjustable
proportioning valve for my racer so I can dial in the brakes.. 12" T'all
drums in back, and Chevy Calipers w/ Ford rotors (if all works like I
plan) up front.. who knows what that'll be like! :-)

I just happen to have a brand new booster in my parts bin.. labeled "For
'72 Frame-off - do not rob".. hmmm... does it really say that, or am I
imagining it? Maybe if I just turn my head to the side I won't see it...

That would help explain my poor brake response.. ;-)

OK, one more thing to change out soon..

Tomorrow or Thursday I'm seeking friendly professional help on my carb
issues.. it's been getting better with each vacuum leak I've solved or
float adjustment or.. but I'm heading to a friend's shop for the benefit
of years of racing and ASME experience.. I guess we'll just remove the
booster vac. line before doing the tune-up..

Thanks, John.
