Nick,
   What you have heard is that IH engines run with low oil pressure.
This is true, but; there are built to run that way. an IH engine only
redlines at 4000 RPM's max. This requires only 40 lbs of oil pressure.
The usuall max RPM is around 2000 RPM's. This leads people to believe
that the engine is running low on pressure, when it is really designed
for that. The only time to be worried is when the lifters and valves
start to knock, then be worried.
