Pulsing light update; water pump

Well, ever since I asked about the pulsing lights, and then proceeded to
play around with the firewall connector, it has completely gone away. So I
can only deduce that Epp was right in concluding that the culprit was the
main feed through the firewall. I'll give the connections a good cleaning to
make sure they stay in contact, and maybe I'll luck out and not have to make
a permanent jumper around the connector. So thanks to everyone who replied
to my post and especially to Epp.

Has anyone ever rebuilt their water pump? Mine has end play in the front
bearings, and growls at me when I accelerate. It still appears to do it's
job, but I want to replace it before It goes out at the most inopportune
momont. Autozone can order them for $83 bones, but I thought it sounds a
little high. A rebuild can't be tough, so if there is a kit available I'd
appreciate hearing about it.
