Doug's towing traveler
Can't help you with much, but two thoughts:
1) Why a wide-ratio tranny? You need a narrow ratio for towing-- that's one
reason why the bigger trucks have the 5spd straight-drive.. 4th to 3rd can
be pretty annoying.
2) You may want to consider a narrowed TA Dana 60 if you intend to haul this
trailer a lot. Might burn away a '44.
P.S. I wouldn't haul something this heavy even with a Traveler. Howard
mebbie will repost his useful towing weight guide- you can probably up his
totals by about 15% (Howard, what do you think) for the longer wheelbase,
but you've still got a 1/2 ton suspension, etc.
