The Comanche name was applied to the IH gas engines throughout the '60s
and '70s without much fanfare.  I'm not sure just when it started or if
it went away before the end of the Scout, but there's nothing unusual
about the decal on yours other than the ones I've noticed have been on
the air cleaner.
