Sopher's Non-synchro first

Matt,

I'm pretty sure that first gear is non-synchro. If you shift to second,
then double clutch to first, it should go. I learned to drive in Dad's '63
Corvette 3spd. and he made sure I got that part down right! Good luck, and try
it at like 25 mph, not 75mph. *grin*

yeah, mine also has a " bass note" when driving. Isn't that a particular tranny?
I
cannot downshift into first! And, the engine's rpms must be below, lets say, 800
before I can shift into first.
my rearview mirror has never vibrated. My cheesy radio has no engine noise.
