I use my manual choke for the same thing... and when using the on-board
compressor.

Better hurry on on that hand throttle, Dan... it's been a year in the
coming, but I almost have mine done... hole's punched in the dash, cable's
mounted and cut to length.. just need to put a bolt n' washer on the
throttle linkage clamp arm (whatever) to hold the outer sleeve in place and
I'm done. :-)
