Re: Opinions please!
Rik,
I have a Scout that I redid the ignition in. I have a Mallory Unilite
Distributor. The Unilite has a Laser which does the triggering for the spark.
Basically there is a Laser beam that is shot across a gap in the rotor which
sends a signal to the MSD.
I have an MSD 6A box which I am really happy with. Very good spark and much
less cranking when it is cold. Also the MSD will keep the engine running when
the tach has gone to 300 rpm's which usually would be a stall.
The tach is an AutoMeter. One good thing about an MSD box is there is a one
lead for a tach. On my tach I have four wires: a positive, a negative, a
light, and a signal( which justs plugs into the 6A box).
