Stuff

Binders,
I was attempting to get the 71 running for the first time since May.
I put a new lower radiator hose on and went to swap out carbs. This
should have been nice and easy given all I have to do is unbolt one and
bolt in the other. Except for one thing, I couldn't find the other carb!
I know Matt P and Joe C will find that hard to believe that with the
storage system I have in my garage that I couldn't find it, but; I
looked high and low and couldn't find it. Therefore I called Super Scout
Specialists and ordered a new 4160 (?) 2 barrel 500 cfm Holley. (This
looks just like the 2300 style) It cost $250. It will be here next week
some time I guess.
I also cleaned my K&N air filter today. That isn't very hard, you
just have to have some time to let it dry after washing it off under
water and after you recharge it with the oil, it was really dirty! I
guess it was those long hours of sucking Pinelands dust. (Which is a
reminder to those of you planning on joining us in May, either get a K&N
or buy a new filter for before and after the weekend. You will need to
replace it.)
