Unseen fire!



Well, my Labor Day I went out and worked the scout II.  It hasn't ran for 3
weeks! After being in 100+ heat for 2 hours I noticed the wire going into my
distr. was chard?!  After popping the cap of it all made sense.  The whole
system was fried.  Is this because I changed over to a point system and ran
the truck after procrastinating putting a ballast resistor in the system?  Or
do I have a much deeper problem?  Thanks for any advice y'all can give in
advance...oh and happy Labor Day!
