oil sender

Was changing my oil today and really looked at my oil sender for the first
time.  There is no wire going to it.  I know there should be, though.  By
the way, yes, I noticed no oil pressure but was not worried, as a little
"tick" on startup quickly went away and there is plenty of oil leaking out
of the valve covers!!  By the way, who has gaskets?  I'm going to take mine
off, clean them up, and paint 'em.  Anyway, somebody help me out on getting
my oil sender wired properly.  'Twould be nice to have it working!
