I'm pretty sure you mean the valve/switch on the rear passenger
side of the intake manifold that is switched by a change in COOLANT
temperature (coolant flows in the manifold, doesn't it?). The
swithces and valves can be bought from AutoZone, and they have books
to tell what each one does. They often have IH listings, but if you
want, I'll go with you. Anyway, the switches, as listed in the book
show different temperatures, as well as Normally open, normally
closed, both, either, neither, configurations, not to mention flow
directions. Look in the manual and make sure you know what it does,
$10 says they can get it for under $15.
