Tailight Help

OK, in prep for painting, I got all the lights off, all the trim out of the
way, etc., until I got to the tailight holders.  I got them loose from the
truck, but I can't see how to get the wires loose from the holders.  Do
they twist off?  Is there a hidden connection?

I can't tuck them out of the way, so I really need to get them off-
