Nick, 
I was hoping you'd get a response from someone sharper on tune-ups than 
I, but:
Check for a vacuum leak
Look down in your carb's throat and see if the accelerator pump is 
spraying gas when the gas pedal is pushed.
Check the vacuum advance on your distributor
Check your timing. Checking on the vacuum advance is best done with the 
timing light, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
If all these check out, I guess it's time to check plugs, wires, cap, and 
rotor. On my list, I've postponed these because you are only having 
trouble on acceleration and the prior items to check have to do with 
acceleration.
