Battery yak

I have been following the battery talk here lately and have come up with
some good questions for those who are more versed in storable energy
than I.

 What different kinds of batteries are there available for vehicals ?

 I was hoping for information on some new 'Air Battery' I had heard
mentioned somewhere

 Would I use a Gel Cel battery on my Scout or RV for deep cycle ?

 Any comments are appreciated.
