John, I have 3 Scouts with tilt wheels a 77, 79 and 80. None of them have a lock tab or lock to prevent the wheel from turning. Probably because when in a diesel you wouldn't want the column to lock if the key was off since the thing would still be running unless the shut off knob was pulled. Nick
