Steve, Before you get the "cure all" Ford selenoid kit, check out your starter ... you might have a hot binding selenoid coil or a dragging starter armature (due to failed bearings). Since it is attempting to start, it appears the relay functions, the armature rotates, but then things bind up. Good luck! Mark
