Hey Epp,
 Every engine rebuild article/book I have ever read says to prime the oil
pump.This gets oil flowing through the whole oil system.Have the engine
ready to start but have the dist. out and the valve covers off,run the
prime until you get oil out of the rocker shafts on both sides of the
engine.Then install the v/c and the dist. and fire it up!Do not have the
exhaust hooked up just to keep the neighbors happy<VBG>
