You did the right thing.  "Trace" amounts of metal in the pan is normal.
You have to judge how long since the previous cleaning vs how much metal vs
tranny performance vs total mileage.

Some manufacurers put a magnet in the pan to capture metal dust & filings.
They expect it.

If you want to put your mind at ease, take it to another shop (get a
reference first!) after you put some miles on.  Tell them the service
interval and ask if the fluid / residue look OK.
