I can't imagine finding one big enough in a junkyard, unless you just
happened on a vehicle that had had an aftermarket fan installed. You're
talking a 12-16" fan here!

Yes

Yes. Most electrics have their own shrouds. There are a few that don't,
though.

I would keep my engine driven fan if it's working properly. Most electrics
don't pull as much air as the engine fan. If you're having cooling
problems, you could mount the biggest fan you can on the front of your
radiator to act as an auxiliary to help the engine fan in slow speed
conditions.
