Supercharging

IHers,

One of the guys from Outback Parts told me (while I was ordering my
headers) that there was a supercharger listed for the 80/800 4 cyl
engines, but when he looked a couple of years ago, he couldn't find one.
Has anyone seen/heard of this?

Since I don't have A/C, Cruise, Air Pump, etc - the engine compartment
on my '79 345 Scout seems to have enough room for an aftermarket
superchager. I don't know if my wallet is full enough, but I was
wondering if anyone knows if there are any kits for IH engines. Is there
much of a downside to supercharging other than cost?
