I have 235/45 zr 17" tires in my '92 325iA (e36) and "rear wheels rub on the
outside wheel well lip" when I "pump on the gas!"...No problem on the front
wheels...
I suggest to use 17" wheels with 235/40 (or 225/40 or 45) tires.
