Warranty extension worth it?

I have a 2001 330Ci with 40,400 miles on it. The full service ran out
at 36,000 miles and much to my dismay, no one warned me so I'm out of
luck there. My warranty is good to 50,000 miles or another 18 months
or so but I'll likely hit the miles first. I called today and can
extend the warranty an extra 3 years or 36,000 miles which would take
me to 86,000 miles. I have an expensive and fancy sound system in the
car or I would trade it in (theoretically I could put it in a new 330
if the chassis was identical but it would cost a bit to do so.) The
warranty extension carries a $100 deductable but as far as I know
offers full coverage. I guess full service got me little more than
oil changes, wiper blades, and light bulbs. Well I guess brakes were
covered too but I guess I'm out of luck there. Does anyone know what
is and is not covered in this warranty and do you have an opinion if
it's worth the $2,800 it costs? Eventually I will trade it anyway,
but I really like the sound system (and the car of course) so will
keep it around for now. I wish I would have had the option to extend
the service, but no one I've asked has given me any impression that I
can get around it even though it wasn't that long ago that it ran out.
