E36 M3 Cracked Windshield Questions

Hello everyone, after a nice 4x4 truck flung a huge rock from its treads
into my windshield, I have a serious crack. So, I am getting the
windshield replaced and I noticed that the seal is seriously dry rotted.
I talked to the windshield replacement folks and they are going to
source a BMW windshield and a new gasket (not sure if that is the
correct term, but the seal around the windshield). 
I'm just checking with the list wisdom to see if there is anything else
that may be necessary to getting this correctly repaired? It's a 1995
E36 M3.
