E30 Steering Wobble

My Problem: Recently put new tires on my 1990 E30is. Car has 16" TSW's and Racing Dynamics springs, Bilstein shocks. At first i thought my problem was with the old tires that I replaced and my "toe". However, with new tires, correct toe and an alignment, new clutch, the car still shakes at 70 mph and above. I get alot of feedback in the wheel and it does this on varying surfaces, even on smooth. Aside from the obvious, being the tires need to be better balanced, is there anything else that might need checking or replacing in order to get rid of this problem. The wheels are true and not dented, just FYI. In fact, I rotated them immediately and with same results. I don't think this is an E30 problem since a friend of mine has an older one and it is smooth as rails.

Upon inspection it appears that all the tie rods and control arms are OK. Could there be play in the steering that can be adjusted? Is there a steering shock of sorts?

Any advice would be appreciated.
