Re: Gas smell from E28

Before you spend a lot of money try tightening the hose clamps on the hoses 
going to and from the gas tank. They are located in the engine compartment 
way down on the drivers side and close to the footwell. As these hoses age 
they tend to shrink when cold and expand when hot. When cold they can seep 
just enough petrol to smell. Snug the clamps up a little and see if it helps.
