brake light circuit warning

Hi all!

My on-board computer is giving me a warning message of "Brake Light
Circuit". It also says 'see owner's manual'. I noticed that my driver's side
brake light is out, other than that, the brakes work fine.

Will replacing the rear brake lamp bulb solve this problem, or am I looking
at a circuit switch as well??

Any info/help is greatly appreciated!
